KROSNO, a town in Rseszow province, in South East Poland. In July 1942 the Jews from Krosno country were concentrated in Brzozow, Duikla, Jasienice, Korczyn, and Rymanow and from there deported to the Belzec death camp. About 800 Jews, who went into hiding and were discovered, lived in the Korsno ghetto from August till December 1942. On December 2nd 1942 the ghetto was liquidated and all its inmates deported to Rzeszow, were they shared the plight of Rzeszow Jewry.
