Israel State Gold Medal Set, 1971.
Celebrating Liberation (Judaea Capta-Israel Liberata), crafted in 750 fine gold. The set includes three medals with weights of 15 grams, 8 grams, and 5 grams, and diameters of 27 mm, 22 mm, and 19 mm respectively. Each medal features a design inspired by a Roman Judaea Capta coin issued by Vespasian in 70 CE, marking the end of the First Revolt. This historic imagery contrasts with scenes depicting a Jewish pioneer planting a sapling and a mother tenderly holding her baby.
Presented in the original box, this lot comprises three Brilliant Uncirculated medals, each encapsulating a significant chapter in Israel's history.
