Bronze medallion with suspension and contemporary pin. This 27mm medallion is catalogued by Carlisle as C1916/2 and was struck by Stokes and Sons. Supposedly sold through schools as part of the War Relief Fund. Obverse shows left facing bust of George V with FOR KING AND COUNTRY above and the date 1916 below. Reverse shows a circular wreath with ANZAC within. The legend DEPT OF EDUCATION VICTORIA is above the wreath with LEST WE FORGET 25 APRIL 15 below.
