Italy 1917, The world's first airmail stamp, Italy Scott C1, was created by overprinting "ESPERIMENTO POSTA AEREA MAGGIO 1917 TORINO-ROMA · ROMA-TORINO" on the 25-centesimo rose-red King Victor Emmanuel III special delivery stamp. The plane, an Italian Air Force Pomilio PC-1 reconnaissance aircraft, carried 480 pounds of mail, mostly specially prepared commemorative cards and 200 newspapers. Most of the mail was postmarked May 20, 1917

Indochina Flight Covers 1929 - 1930, 3 Registered Airmail covers w. transit and arrival postmarks :
1) 1929 return flight by Tixier and Robbe was delayed until 24 May because the seaplane’s pontoon needed repairs. The mail from Hanoi to Saigon consisted of 156 letters. POSTAL MARKINGSHANOI R.P. TONKIN 22-5 29 ; airmail label. Reverse: SAIGON-CENTRAL COCHINCHINE 24-5 29 Signed on back by pilot.
2) Lalouette and Goulette ; Saigon - Bangkok - Amsterdam - Europe17-25 October 1930 KLM Air Oriental 's first service posted at Saigon on 17 Octoberand reached Paris on 25 October 1930. Posmarked SAIGON-CENTRAL COCHINCHINE 17-10 30registry and airmail labels on
