1933: A lot of 9 German Reich stamps featuring Wagner's operas, including notable works such as Das Rheingold, Siegfried, Lohengrin, and Parsifal. Printed during the early years of Hitler's regime on Swastika watermarked paper, these stamps are exceptionally rare, with only 265,000 sets produced. MiNr: 499-507. Catalog value: €3,000 ($3,360). Signed on gum.
It's worth noting that Wagner was Hitler's favorite composer, and many of the Third Reich's official music selections were drawn from Wagner's operas.
