1948 An airmail mail cover from South Africa addressed to the Manager of the Anglo Palestine Bank in Tel Aviv. Posted from Witbank on December 17, 1948, it features cachets on the back flip from the "Bank of South Africa." The cover is affixed with 9d. stamps canceled in Witbank on December 17, 1948, with a black octagonal handstamp indicating a postage due of 60c, located alongside the South African stamps. Opposite, on the other edge of the cover, there are two Israel postage due overprinted stamps (10mil and 50mil) affixed and canceled in Tel Aviv. The cover is hand-signed on the back by Y. Tsachor. Estimate: $150 - $200.
