Baghdad, 1917. (September 1st), lot of 9 stamps affixed to a sheet of paper with a heading indicating "3 KUYD STREET CALCUTTA," and there's a handwritten date of "November 1918." These stamps are from Turkey and feature a surcharge (Type 1) in black ink. They are all unused and considered genuine. The authenticity is confirmed by a photo certificate issued by David Brandon in 2019. The catalog value of this lot is £8375, indicating its rarity.
