1948, POWs, a group of 7 envelopes sent from Egyptian POWs. The envelopes were sent through the Red Cross and examined by Israeli military censorship. Special and interesting time.
1956, The Suez Crisis, or the Second Arab–Israeli war, also called the tripartite aggression in the Arab world and Sinai War in Israel, was an invasion of Egypt in late 1956 by Israel, followed by the United Kingdom and France.
This collection includes 68 items, envelopes sent from the Six-Day War from Egyptian corps that served in various units, including post-Six-Day letters from prison camps, including Red Cross letters. A special collection from the Six Day period.

1. Letters from Arab Cauntries to London enclosing letters addressed to the Israeli-held Territories from different countries. Registered and Plain.

7. The Whole Story in a Single Cachet. At the beginning of the service, when the number of ketters was small, each cover was stamped with a cachet "Post at…. Sende cover to the Head Post Office, King Edwaed Street, London E.C.I". The country or city of origin e.g. "Amman" was added by hand in London. When the flow of letters increased the country of origin was no longer mentioned on the covers. Very rare.

9. Tourists passing over the Allenby or Adam bridged over Jordan from Arab countries to the "Territories" had to post any letters in their possession in the postboxes at the bridges. Incl, Adam Bridge postmark and taxed "T".

14. Allenby and Adam Bridges. The two bridges over the Jordan River were the only entry and exit points for land travel from the Territories to Arab countries after 1967.
15. Mail Service from Egypt to Gaza and Sinai, iclu, Via France Letters from Algeria to the Gaza Strip were sent via France, & Via Switzerland Post Office Box 152 in Switzerland was used for forwarding mail from Arab Countries to Israel.
