1941 Postal Telegram envelope with KGVI 2 1/2d stamp perforated C & W by Cable and Wireless Ltd, sent to the parents of a child evacuee, sent to South Africa in terms of a scheme pormoted by the Government. The children were permitted free telegrams once a month, fully subsidised by Cable and Wireless. With original contents and pictorial complimentes alip illustrating a child on his scooter. With the original pink envelope with printed description and reading ‘The “Wonderland” Postage-Stamp-Case.’ Some fading and wear to envelope else in excellent condition. Williams-Madan 223-5.
ACCOMPANIED BY "THE WONDERLAND POSTAGE-STAMP CASE" as issued, consisting of the illustrated folder with the illustration of Alice with the Duchess' baby on one side and the publisher's imprint, the illustration of the Cheshire cat over the "(Post Free, 13d) Price One Shilling." The second part of this piece is the the folded card of the stamp case with Alice and the piglet and the Cheshire cat's smile on the exterior and with 12 stitched pockets each bearing a value under the opening, the numbers being the only printing on the interior. All in excellent condition.

GREAT BRITAIN 1860, This mechanical valentine has a woodem bling-roller, with a printed verse on the blind, A bedroom scene in colour is behind the blind: the whole is surrounded by embossed paper. The original envelope franked by a 1d red "stars" is shown it is dated 1860. 'A vision of the future" has.....the lisp of children and ther earlist words' The photograph of the bedroom scene shows a child being fed whilst its mother is ill.
