1941. Envelope sent by Registered mail No-14 from Russia 2.4.41 to Palistina Haifa, on the left side A sticker OPENED BY CENSOR. on the back arrival pmk 8. APRIL 41.
1943. This envelope contained a letter sent home by a Jerusalem soldier on active service with the British Army in 1943. The letters "O.A.S" on the front stood for "ON ACTIVE SERVICE", so no stamp was required. The blue mark is a censor 's stamp. And second O.A.S. acover send from a soldier in Egypt to Palestine Kfar-Haim via Tel Aviv, Passed by censor.

A collection of 7 items from the period of the British Mandate, some of which were sent by Joseph Vinitsky. A rare letter, 1948, important and long in the handwriting and signature of the journalist and writer Joseph Vinitsky, who fought in his articles in the Mandatory government, who was exiled to Eritrea, Sudan and Kenya. Includes a postcard from Russia from 1945 and two French castles. Most of the items were sent to Palestine.
His History:
Joseph Vinitsky (1914-1956) was a journalist, publicist, editor, writer and translator. He was known as the correspondent of the newspapers "HaYarden", "The Observer".He was known for his witty philithons against the British authorities in Mandate Palestine. Was the only journalist to be detained for a long period of his writing and deported to Eritrea, Sudan, and Kenya.
