PERSONAL MEDALS - HEYER von ROSENFELD, Friedrich 1828-1896AE portrait medal (37mm) 1894 by Johann Schwerdtner. Av .: Half-length portrait of the k.u.k. Colonel in uniform. Rv .: Family coat of arms with helmet ornament with motto "dear ehr mit modeidenheit". His family belongs to an old Hessian noble family from the 15th century. Heyer von Rosenfeld became known for his collaboration on the coat of arms book Johann Siebmacher and in 1873 for his crown design for King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria. - houses: 7455 - vzgl./stplfr.
PROOF. One of the first medals awarded to Israel Army personnel. Struck in May of 1948 and presented in July of 1949 to those soldiers who took part in the conquest of the Qatamon suburb of Jerusalem. In the center the Citadel of David and the Jewish Agency Building, around the rim in Hebrew "If I forget thee O Jersalem let my right hand be forgotten". In original medal the back of the medal reads in Hebrew: "for the conquest of Qatamon, Jerusalem, 22 Nisan Tashah (Hebrew date), 1.5.1948
FROOF MEDAL. Steel of the medal exist, medal has a 28mm 30mm diameter, origenal exist of the bronze and silver medal may be identical, but data lack.
The medal was probably connected to a blue/white ribbon. Soon after the medals were awarded, the IDF withdraw recognition of the medal.
C. 1790s British Medal Token Halfpenny Fear God Honour the King Lord's Prayer. Neat old "Scripture Text" piece which I believe is attributed to Kettle. "Jehovah" is spelled out in Hebrew over a crown. FEAR GOD HONOUR THE KING REWARD OF MERIT. About 28mm & 7.0g.

Large Bronze (27 mm) Bar Kochba Coin (Year 134 CE).This coin was minted during the third year of the Jewish revolt against Rome (year 134/135 CE). Obverse side: Palm tree with seven branches and two bunches of dates, and the Hebrew inscription – “Simon” – (the first name of Bar Kochba). Reverse side: Vine leaf on tendril with the Hebrew inscription around – “For the Freedom of Jerusalem”. Reference: Hendin 736
